  1. Good analogies. I enjoy your blog very much and is a good reminder to stay on the path though we are tempted to take shortcuts with all the touting of new diet solutions and pills to be thin. Yesterday I actually craved a peach over a chocolate candy bar for a snack and it was wonderful! That small delicious peach had only 45-50 calories and it was way more satisfying than the 220 calorie candy loaded with fat and all that guilt. It’s taken over a year to get off the sugar high junk food wagon and it sure wasn’t easy because of being sugar junky monkey – LOL!! Keep up the Good Work of Encouragement!

  2. Love this post! I have just recently begun eating only non-processed foods. Psalm 34:8- Taste and see that the Lord is good! I have been eating “paleo” foods and have thoroughly enjoyed eating this way. I have struggled with food my whole life, but by God’s grace, He is helping me to make better choices daily. I tell my girls all the time that the Lord makes each of us unique and He didn’t make us all the same size 🙂 Blessings to you!

    • That’s great Julie, way to go! There’s nothing the devil would enjoy more than destroying our strong Christian temple and you remembered that “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world!” 1 John 4:4. And it’s so great that your children are learning such important principles too! Thanks for your comment and blessings to you,

  3. Great post, very enlightening ideas. It is true we hear weight loss strategies all over the media and somehow nothing seems to work for us if we try any of them. I agree with you we must eat healthy and embrace our uniqueness and enjoy good health, physical and spiritual. Thanks for sharing a lovely post with us Ellie. Take care.
