Will Your Next Diet Be Godly or Worldly?

“But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you.” (Romans 8:9a)

  1. This year, I am trying a new “diet” as I have learned that I turn to food when stressed, worried, anxious – even happy – which is not what I am supposed to do! Focusing on redirecting those feelings for positive thoughts, and seeking out GOD instead of food. 🙂 Thank you for this blog post! ❤ Blessings!

  2. Good advise! I always stick also to the concept that we need to consume everything in moderation and in its natural state. As a medical writer, I have to deal with recalls of medications for weight loss, and so many of them can worsen the condition, not improve it. The problem with diets that ask to include or exclude any specific groups of nutrients and drugs for treating conditions related to overweight are addressing only symptoms, but not the cause. The cause is not quite often where we are looking for it. Artificial and boxed food will only harm people who are already suffering from different disorders.
Happy New Year and good health, as well as lots of happiness and new discoveries in 2016!

    • Oh Inese, how artistically talented you are! Just got off your website and am duly impressed. (Couldn’t help but follow to see what you do next) Thank you for your sweet comment and you are exactly right! In fact that is something I touch on in my book. It’s the entire mind, body, spirit connection. Therefore the process is even more important than the progress because understanding the process teaches one how to maintain for life.

1 Corinthians 10:23 advises that anything is permissible but not everything is beneficial. so eat whatever in moderation. So happy to meet you via the internet! Blessings,

  3. Ellie, I have downloaded your book, “Life Is Too Short To Eat Bad Cheese” and will start reading it today. One of the reasons I was drawn to your blog was your ability to share the truth in love. But even more so was the debunking of so many myths and lies regarding dieting and food. I will check in with you periodically as I read it. I do not want this to be another time when I get filled with head knowledge but don’t apply it. Prayers please! Love and grace to you, my sister, Happy New Year!!

    • Oh Wendy what a fantastic gift to receive on the last day of the year. No, I’m not talking about another book sale (although that’s wonderful!) I’m speaking of your gift of friendship. My spirit sings when I hear from you because you also comment from your heart. How I want you to take control and become successful with your weight challenges. I hope to have a book on the Spiritual connection to emotional eating out this year if God Wills it. You are an inspiration to me to keep on posting to assist others for God’s glory.

May 2016 be the best year ever in your life! Blessings,
