  1. You’ve used another great analogy to make a very important point. Thanks for the tip about the seltzer water. I’d forgotten all about that. My mother has been doing this very thing for ages. Peace to you Ellie. Have a wonderful weekend!

    • Ha, so true about pastors being overweight! I have warned my husband (who is currently healthy and in shape) as he fills in on pulpit supply that I don’t want the congregation to “kill him with kindness.” 🙂 God expects us to lead a disciplined life and not love food more than Him. Balance is the key. Thank you for your comment, blessings,

  2. This is a great post. It really helps us get our acts together. I am guilty as charged. I try to eat as healthy as possible, but I don’t always take care of God’s temple as I should. I am a total work in progress and He and I have had some conversations on this. He knows I know better and that I am trying to do better each day. 🙂 Thanks, for the reminder.

  3. Sigh. As I sip my ice cold Pepsi in a bottle. I love to eat wholesome food, veggies, fruits, water, healthy proteins, healthy fats. I just hope it balances out my daily Pepsi, chocolate, and glass of vino.

  4. Yes, it is all about balance, common sense and grace. We’d go crazy If we tried to avoid all “bad” foods. However, (I try to avoid colas with its bone destroying properties.) There are many nutrient- dense properties in wine and dark chocolate but nothing yet found in Pepsi as far as I’ve researched. As I always say, Eat for Nutrients. Thanks friend, Blessings,
